This stamping craft is useful for so many things. You can even make your own invitations. Find a cute stamp and get started.
Supplies:
1. stamp
2. products to stamp on - gift tags, paper bags, envelopes, fabric bags, glassine bags, mini canvas. I always buy extra to practice on. (can be purchased at your local craft store)
4. ink pad
5. colored pencils
6. cardboard insert (for fabric bag)
Tips:
My stamp was bigger than my mounting block, but that wasn't a problem I just pressed the section I preferred to my mounting block, inked it and practiced on scrape paper a few times.
Sometimes a section won't stamp dark enough, I just take a colored pencil and outline it myself.
If you are stamping on a fabric bag, place a piece of cardboard between the fabrics to prevent bleeding.
More Tips:
If you'd like to add scripture you can hand draw it or print it out on the computer, cut and glue to your surface. This stamp I had included great wording, I just chose not to use them, but I probably will next time.
For a cute inexpensive filler I like to shread old book pages or newspaper!!
If your stamp is already mounted to wood a mounting block is not needed.
Plan ahead and pick out a favorite Christmas stamp and prestamp some bags, tags and mini easels. You'll be so glad you did.
