Bound to Please: Book Review! The Gift of Limitations

THIS BOOK has changed how I see limitations in my life. It has encouraged me to look a little deeper at what the Lord may be doing in the middle of those limitations. Here are some excerpts from Sarah's book:

"May we begin to see what God can do with what we resent. And to consider: might there be a purpose in these limits?"

What if this fence line is protecting me and you?

"These pages are your invitation to look at what you lack - to name your limitations - with the intention of becoming more His (and more yourself) in the midst of them, not in spite of them. What if this fence line is protecting me and you? What if it is a gift? A deposit, directing our eyes to the now and to the far better things ahead."

"Slower still is not the consolation prize."

"He pares back when we cannot... Slower still is the invitation for our finances and friendships and our mothering, when what we have cannot stretch over what we perceive is needed.  Slower still is not the consolation prize for those without faith that God will heal, increase, or change our circumstances. It is the gift."

"It is The Gift."

"You hem me in, behind and before, and lay Your hand on me."

Psalm 139:5
