Here are some fun way to connect this Christmas.

Trim the Tree.  Pick out identical ornaments and send them theirs with ornament hooks (where do they go every year?) and some candy canes.

Devotional. Sign up with your long distance family members or a friend or a group of friends to have the same daily devotion emailed to you, then text each other your favorite word, thought or Bible verse from your reading. Be sure to read Luke 2 together too.

Ugly Sweater.  Nothing like having identical ugly sweaters.

Special Delivery. Goodies galore. Send a box filled with small wrapped gifts to be opened when attached tag specifies. Here's some ideas - cookie cutter, sprinkles and frosting. Soup mix and a fun game. Photo gifts are fun like fridge magnets, a deck of cards or personalized stationary.

Christmas Hugs. Someone not feeling well? Try these: Chicken Noodle Soup, tea, honey, cough drops, Kleenix, lip balm, candle, socks, a devotional, a holiday magazine.

Coffee Mugs. Pick out matching holiday themed coffee mugs and fill with tea bags or cocoa packets.

Recipes.  Share some fun family recipes.

Puzzles. Buy two matching holiday puzzles. Pick an evening or a weekend and set the timer and see who finishes first.

You've Been Socked! One of my favorites. Fill up a Christmas stocking and spread the joy! Here's some ideas - Tea towel, candle. Cheese & salami, beef jerky, jelly beans. Bookmarks, small devotional or book. Coasters, cocoa, coffee, tea.  Ear rings, bracelet, socks, scarf, gloves. Lotion, bubble bath. Stationary and pens. Gift cards to a local coffee house.

Christmas Treats. Send a fun holiday snack mix. like my Festive Magic Cookie Bar Snacks recipe and a bonus recipe for Easy Christmas Muddy Buddies.

Friday Night Fa-la-la-la-la.  Arrange to FaceTime or call every Friday night (or?) until Christmas to sing Christmas carols together (Christmas Karaoke?) or "Name That Tune".

Home Alone.  Send a favorite Christmas movie with some popcorn and that lovely gourmet popcorn seasoning.
