Gather! Don’t Monogram That on Your Pocket & a GIVEAWAY!

-Encouragement for Every Reason & Season-

"The devil wants to keep you in the grave of failure."

Daily the miracle of a personal relationship with Jesus moves me.  The victory we can have because of His victory over sin and death brings us all hope and stability. So many need that great message of hope. Do you know anyone who could use a word of encouragement? Some stability?

"Don’t get stuck in a chapter when God is inviting you to simply turn the page."

Sharon Jaynes

“The devil wants to keep you in the grave of failure.  If we let Him, the devil will take the wrong that we’ve done – or had done to us – and try to convince us it’s who we are.  He slaps a label on us, and before we know it, we’re monogramming it on our shirt pocket.  In her book Unglued, Lysa TerKeurst said this: “Those labels start out as threads of self-dissatisfaction but ultimately weave together into a straightjacket of self-condemnation.” The truth is your past is something you did or had done to you; it is not who you are.  There’s more to be written – more life to be lived, more miracles to experience, more chains to break, more steps to take.

Embrace the story God has given you… even the parts where someone else has burst in uninvited and created chaos… especially those parts. Don’t get stuck in a chapter when God is inviting you to simply turn the page.”

Sweet Linda: Thank you for this beautiful post on encouragement, recipes, DIY crafts and your faithful heart. I love you and am so thankful for your friendship.

The scripture that has been ministering to my soul is Hebrews 12:1-2. "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on JESUS, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame.…

Love, love, love the devotion. So perfect for my life right now. And a great encouragement for several women I know. Thank you, Linda, for your encouragement, inspiration, and heartfelt caring for others.

My favorite all-time verse is: Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. (ESV)

Thank you Sheri. This words and scripture are for all of us. In this these challenging times where politics and the plight of the human condition are plastered all over social media and weigh our weary hearts down we need to take a step back and remember it is a load we are not meant to carry. It is for our Savior who bore the cross so His yoke would be easy and His burden light.

Isaiah 43:18,19 Forget about what's happened. It is nothing to what i am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun. Don't you see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wastelands. Drinking water for the people I choose.

A great passage to focus our eyes on the future God has planned for us and not stuck in the past and wishing for it to resurrect itself !
