"Who can mind the journey when the road leads Home?"

Warren Wiersbe

Whether it's weekend road tripping or cross-country trekking that you're planning, let's dive into the Word of God to find refreshment.

"The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in

from this time forth, and even forevermore."

Psalm 121:8

With dead ends, detours and potholes urgent situations require more than just flashlights, bandages, and bottled water. We need to be prepared, remembering God is in control, so we can be an aid and an anchor for others. As we navigate pitfalls and rough roads let's find our rest and roadmap in the Lord. Click here for a trip down Route 121 together.

"Take courage. We walk in the wilderness today

and in the Promised Land tomorrow."

D.L. Moody

A Home to Keep: DIY! Simple & Creative Prayer Board

A DIY prayer board is a simple space that you set up – using a bulletin board, a dry erase whiteboard or chalkboard – that allows you to keep track of your prayers and answered prayers. It's the ideal place to put scripture and pictures of those you want to pray for also. It's a great project for a girlfriends or neighbors night out, fun with your grand darlings too!

Bound to Please: Book Reviews!

I have loved reading this 90-day devotional by Lauren Fortenberry One Prayer Away.  It's perfect for a summer read. "When you cannot see the road ahead. When you wonder if the hurt is beyond healing. When you are at the edge of what your heart can handle. One Prayer Away is for every moment of the messy middle."

It's broken down into three sections:

  • Part One - When the Beginning is Broken

  • Part Two - When the Middle is Messy

  • Part Three - When the Future is Faith Filled "Dear God, I pray for the woman who cannot see the road ahead.  Lord, her vision is clouded by emotions and overwhelming uncertainly.  Remind her, Father, that You will equip her for every difficulty and decision – that You will be beside her all the way. Amen"

A song to bless you by Brennley Brown, Miracle Story:

Lyrics and Chorus:

Verse 1 - Gotta read between the lines sometimes

Gotta look beyond a thousand why's

Keep doing my best to trust nonetheless

Trying hard to keep my hope intact

When all I got are all the hopeless facts

I can't always see but I can believe...

Chorus - You're already chapters before me

with pages and pages of glory

Some parts may be painful but surely

You're writing a miracle story...

"You do not move ahead by constantly looking in the rear view mirror.

The past is a ruder to guide you.

We must learn from our past but not live in the past."
