"I hear the leaves underneath my feet, reminders of the death of summer. Change is coming. But the color show in front of my eyes speaks of life, beauty and promise."
Sara Hagerty in The Gift of Limitations
AS LEAVES stir and rustle this is the perfect time for an unhurried drive to a nearby apple orchard or a pick-your-own pumpkin patch. As you map out your fall adventures, consider that the Lord is charting a course for you as well.
"You're not driving a Camper, You're driving an Ambulance."
Pastor Richard Ellis recently shared on a podcast, "Too often the ambulance that the Lord has us driving we turn it into a camper, pulled off someplace and parked... Yep, I got me a quiet spot here, a comfy bed, gonna build a fire, make myself a little coffee...

A Home to Keep: DIY! Bird on a Branch: Copper Wire Decor
Amber Damien, Senior Managing Editor for the In The Garden Magazine shares, "Much like life, "When a gardener steps away from her garden during a dormant season she never truly leaves it. While her hands may not be digging in the dirt every day, she keeps a watchful eye on her plot, driven by her hopes for what her garden will become in the future." Filled with inspiring photos, garden ideas and step-by-step DIY projects I think you'll enjoy this magazine as much as I am.
"You will be like a well-watered garden,

Bound to Please: Book Review! The Gift of Limitations
From her new book, The Gift of Limitations Sara Hagerty shares, "The pages ahead are for finding life and exhilaration within the boundary lines God has given us, for finding Him right where we are, within the fence line."
"The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places."
Psalm 16:6
"The nos that can feel the least "Christian" - the ones we tell ourselves are selfish and lazy - are often ones that form us into being listeners of God, not of our impulses."
"If you often run out of time, energy, or opportunity long before you run out of need. Sara Hagerty invites you to see with new eyes how your limitations can become a pathway to God's beautiful provision." Click here for some excerpts I underlined as I read through Sara's book.
In this season of gratitude I'd like to share a song by Brooke Ligertwood with you. A Thousand Hallelujahs:
Fall's memory verse:
"Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth are Yours."
I Chronicles 29:11

One last thought. If anything I think the months ahead offers us permission (if we need it) to slow down and savor what the Lord longs to do in our lives and that is to draw us to Himself.
"I want to start a revolution of slow movers,
not because I think slow needs to be a new fad
or that slow will gather a crowd...
but because my soul can't meet with God
or find rest in His Word at the existing pace of my life."
Sara Hagerty
May the season wrap you in it's life, beauty and promise.
From My Home to Yours, Linda
Linda, thank you for spending the time putting this together. We make our plans, but let God direct your steps. Be mindful of our “interruptions “. The Lord may have a divine appointment for you to share His love with someone. Share the gospel, and if necessary, use words.
Love the appetizer recipes!!
Love you sweet friend. 🙏🌸❤️
So beautiful dear Linda. EE, "Yes, it means He is orchestrating His appointments in our lives. As we are redirected, ask God, "Is she the one You want me to share with?" Let us be watchful and open. Blessings in this fall season!
