Linda’s Festive Magic Cookie Bar Snack


All the flavors of classic Magic Cookie Bars in snack mix form

is perfect for Christmas parties and gift giving.


Linda’s Festive Magic Cookie Bar Snack


Ingredients:

2 sleeves graham crackers, broken

¾ cup melted butter

1 cup chocolate chips

2 cups shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup crushed pretzels

14 oz. sweetened condensed milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Break apart graham crackers into small pieces and place in a large bowl.  Add chocolate chips, coconut, pretzels, and pecans.

  2. Add melted butter and sweetened condensed milk and stir to combine well.  Line a large baking sheet with foil.  Spray liberally with cooking oil spray.

  3. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the coconut is beginning to get toasted.  Let cool on baking sheet.  Store in a sealed container until ready to set out for your gathering, or place in gift bags.



 Easy Christmas Muddy Buddies

This easy Muddy Buddy Mix recipe is a much loved snack for a simple treat to whip up for parties, game nights, or the holidays. With a delicious peanut butter and chocolate coating this crunchy cereal snack mix is irresistible!


Easy Christmas Muddy Buddies


INGREDIENTS

9 cups Chex cereal (we used corn Chex)

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Red & Green M&Ms

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. To a microwave safe bowl, add chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave for 30 seconds, and stir well.

  2. Microwave for 30 seconds more, and stir again. If not melted, microwave on 15 second increments and stir until smooth. Remove from the microwave and stir in vanilla extract, mixing well.

  3. Pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal, and toss to coat.

  4. Divide the powdered sugar between two gallon storage bags.

  5. Scoop the chocolate covered Chex into the gallon bags, and shake well to coat the cereal in the sugar.

  6. Spread the coated cereal onto a parchment lined baking sheet, and allow to set for about 30 minutes.

  7. Before serving, add in M&M’s and toss.
